Capturing a Likeness, Creating a Legacy: Each time I'm painting a subject, I realize my portrait can last for hundreds of years. I want to capture not only a person’s physical appearance but also the spirit he or she embodies. I’m painting for today and generations to come, so I want my work to be the best it can be.
