Russell’s studio is centrally located in the warehouse arts district in Tucson, AZ. Located Just minutes away from the University of Arizona, downtown, and Interstate 10 connecting Tucson to Phoenix and Scottsdale.
Russell’s studio is in a warehouse building along with the studios of other nationally acclaimed professional artists, including painters, weavers, jewelers, photographers, ceramicists, and woodworkers, making for a very active and supportive art community.
“Open Studio” events where the public is invited are held at least three times a year, in the spring, fall, and early December. “It has been about two months now that the portrait was hung on the first floor of the Medical Education Building here. It is in a quite prominent spot and I have received compliments from everyone who has seen it: fellow faculty, administrative staff, students and even the service people. They all tell me how much they like it and what a fine portrait it is in terms of likeness, coloring and composition.
As I have already told you, my wife, Selma, and I agree heartily and we are very happy with the final outcome. It was a pleasure working with you last year in turning out this production. Good luck in future commissions and keep in touch.“
