Here the portrait is getting closer to completion. I started to add more detail to the chair and jacket. I am working mostly on the right side of the chair. I plan to go back into the face and hair and finish the jacket with glazes and final highlights.

Here the students are painting a portrait from a model. Emphasis is on starting a portrait by blocking in with paint and wiping out the lights. Capturing a likeness quickly using tonal values, prior to adding color.

New Saturday Class Starting
